has anyone found the max safe rev limit for a 4.8? im thinking it should go 6800 no problems. actually I have taken it to 6800 under boost with no problems but that was only once

With the right valvetrain you can do it REGULARLY my stock 6.0 see's 6800-7000 very often. On a daily basis really.... trouble free.

My LS1 with only a cam/valvesprings/timing chain say 7K DAILY for about 20K miles (1.5 years)....eventually went to a stock cam for a while before it spun a bearing (from the flywheel bolts coming loose and the flywheel vibrating).
