Well "Go Fuck Yourself Gently" is on cooldown. I think you'll get something new and snazzy.

On the bright side Eric should be a sponsor soon, we have been emailing and I sent out the invoice on Friday. :)

Excuse me for any of my Ignorance. Is there a location on this site for donations?

The only reason I was busting his balls is because he was making it look like Morris was out to just "MAKE A BUCK".

What got me going is multiple times I've seen guys come on this site with good products or ideas and get put down and treated like a dumb ass. From my point of view the people doing the bashing where the ones that wouldnt think outside the box or just didnt understand.

To add to that. The price Morris is charging is nothing compared to the time and money you would have trying to get his knowledge on Forced induction.

The check is in the mail Trent -- you should get everything here real soon. Snail mail over the holidays is . . . well, slow.

On a side note, tbird is one of the most helpful guys around and knows his blow through and E85 stuff pretty good. I'm not advertising ('cause he doesn't sell anything) just suggesting that if you guys want a knowledgeable guy around that is REAL helpful, you might want to treat him a little nicer. He's an asset to this site!

Same goes for Steve Morris, looks like he made the same mistake I did with the forum rules here, but none-the-less he's a good guy and real helpful.

    Merry Christmas y'all!

Steve used to be a sponser way back when was still with SMRE. :) I think this thread was misguided from the start. :stupid:  I gaurantee Steve's intention is to help others more than to get rich. :2thumbs: We would all love to get wealthy off this stuff but if we can atleast provide for our families and enjoy what we do then we are "rich". If he can do these seminars and cover costs and put a bill or two in his pocket afterwards then all the more to him IMO.

2c from a noob with no forum cred, but couldnt a case be made that non sponsor info thats in the "public interest" could have exceptions made.

Im sure thered be a bunch of people here interested in listening to what Steve has to say in a tuning seminar, and it seems rather than a "check out BRAND XXX from Steve Morris" thread that clearly contravenes rules, what is actually being sold in this case is Knowledge, which is a different thing i reckon and worthy of an audience.

    well said munro,
any REAL information , from real life experiences / professional tuning , engine building etc, in the forced induction field, is miles in front of 'quoted' internet thieves...

He should think about charging for video conferencing < not sure thats the right term , so guys that cant fly out to the seminar can still sit in and get informed .

just a thought . Dont they do this in school now ? We can call him Professor Morris . :D

thats an a fucking plus idea, especially for us on the other side of the world.

even id cough up the dollars for that, although youd need a smart camera man on the job to pick up the important bits, and the live payers would probably get the shits if some goober was standing in the way half the time.

someone needs to convince Darin Morgan to do a video seminar, id pay for that too.

downside is, itd be on youtube in 5 seconds and then youve lost future sales straight away.

I use to really enjoy this board. And understand (to a point) about the advertising deal. But when I was forced to remove a "Tag Line" under my posts because it mentioned a company that was not a sponsor, I was disappointed and just struggled to understand. But, in all fairness, it's not my board and I don't make the rules. I still enjoy reading through some of the posts though.

FYI,Steve didnt make the original thread, nor did he ask me to make it for him. *I* chose to share what i thought would be something that members here would be interested in. For those who dont like it,Im sorry.I never intended for this thread to turn into a shitstorm.
