I guess if you put your hand over your mouth and try to breath you will see what the poster means,,,,,,or put your hand over a Vacuum Cleaner when it is running full out. You can hear the motor straining trying to do its job. In the same way it is probably wearing out the parts inside.

    Food for thought anyway.

Generally, pumps are more efficient at pushing a fluid than they are at pulling a fluid. And the harder to get a fluid, the harder to push it.

I doubt you'd do any compressor damage by restricting the inlet with a too-small filter, but you'll surely cut down on the airflow the compressor is able to provide you (and the air will get hotter, too).

    New to forum,

I'm building a twin turbo sbc street truck (S10) , i'm from UK so not many american cars around so everything has to be ordered or imported, i've been looking at this thread i've got a 400ci small block i will be running 2 of these turbo's with fuel injection or twin 4 barrel holleys, will these turbo's spool fine and with a turbo cam, turbo pistons with a comp of 8 to 1, i'm hoping to have more than 1khp ( fingers crossed) could this engine and turbo combo be suitable for that sort of power??
