list of injectors that fit a mustang fuel rail, besides ford ones?

does anyone know, if a mazda, nissan, mitsubishi, chevy, ect injectors fit a 87-93 stang fuel rail?

im going standalone, so high or low imp. does not matter, injector plug design does not matter.
just looking or any injector that fits the stock 87-93 mustang fuel rail.

How big? The Lightning 42s are probably the easiest injectors out there to get of any size that are compatible.

how about the cfi injectors, iirc they fit the ford rail with a adapter?????
but the cfi runs of a 30 psi base
and most regular fuel inj systems run 43ish base,,,,

    SO............
i have seen some flow rates posted for the cfi injectors.......
    v8 ho were --52lbs
    v8 were--------46lbs
    v6 were--------36lbs
but were these tested at 30 psi or 43 psi ??????
also dose anyone have a destinct list of the cfi injectors and what cars came with what.?.?.?

I modified a set of 450cc DSM (eagle talon/mitsu eclipse) injectors to fit an 87-93 style fuel rail/intake. However they are low impedance. They cost me $100.

DSM injectors and the ford style mustang injectors are actually semi similar.

-The top o-ring land that fits into the rail is the same diameter, but the actual height is smaller, so all you need to do is dremil the groove very carefully so that the fatter ford o-ring will fit on the top of the injector.

    - The bottom of the DSM injector uses a square cut o-ring that is too big for a mustang style intake, all i did was take a rod that fit inside the DSM o-ring, used my die-grinder with a brown roloc disc and let the o-ring spin on the rod while i used the die-grinder on it, this allowed me to cut the o-ring down on the outside diameter until it fit in the mustang intake bung while keeping it a perfect circle.

-DSM injectors share the same connector so no adaptation was required to plug them in. I used 2nd gen black top injectors because i heard they were a better design.

    thanks thats great info.
but wouldn't it be easyer to get a different o-ring for the bottom.

I have a pile of those injectors sittin around for my project. They came in 83-86 for cars I think. And even some later 4cyls had one on them. But most of the ones I got were from 83-86 crown vics, grand marques, LTD's. I got a few from V6's but most were 280 150 400's from V8's You gotta find 4 cars to get 8 though.

Most ratings are usually given at 3bar and 100% duty cycle. I think up to 60psi or so is pretty safe.

The black top injectors i have didn't have an o-ring land at the bottom. They have a dark green plastic tip that fits into the big square cut o-ring. I didn't try sliding a stang o-ring on the intake side of the injector since the DSM o-rings were so cheap from mitsu. It only took about 20 minutes to cut down all 8 o-rings.
