A mate of mine sells Belzona stuff over here in Holland and it seems to work pretty well too. I have used it a few times and seems to hold up well, but I know an ex-employer of his has a transmission shop and the guy sometimes repairs transmission cases and bellhousings with the stuff. There are all sorts of different stuff and each had their own use. If I remember correctly (maybe some guys on here know first-hand) the troops in Desert storm each had a stick of Belzona for emergency repairs to whatever they needed repaired.

hmmmm draw rubber mould from homemade intakedesighn made in any material you want , make batch of epoxy , fill mould , remove from mould , machine surfaces and mount it
this might be an alternative to having sumting cast in aloy or metal

look up "rapid prototyping" they print in 3D with plastic now. Use the right resin I'm sure that someone is doing prototype intakes this way.

Belzona has a contact page. http://www.belzona.com/contact.aspx

I googled it and also came across this: "All Caterpillar dealers sell belzona. It's in the cat tool and shop supplies catalogs and also in their "one safe source" catalog."

No worries. Make sure you get the right stuff. There's different compounds for different purposes. For instance, there is a ceramic compound that is soooooo hard, once applied you'll be using diamond face tools to drill or grind it down. Not the way you wanna go for a breather bore.

I finally dug the firebird out of hibernation with the full intent to run it balls to the wall next friday and get kicked off the track for lack of safety equipment. Compared to the 9.37 pass with the beloved GRENADE motor, its up about 40 whp for a total of 774whp, lighter in the front with a tubular K member and has a shit ton more torque!

This 383 runs pretty damn hard and i just tested it tonight on a backroad at 25.5 lbs boost and a 100 shot. The damn thing made me pee myself as it was still blazing the M/T drag radials at almost 100 mph! Any guesses what im gonna run? Will it go 8's? Its got aluminum heads and tubular K to lighten it up and 383 cubes now. All else is exactly like the 9.37 @ 150 run.
Im gonna purposefully abort several runs to get the launch figured out and stay above the 10.00 mark and then balls to the wall and get booted.

Lets start the guesses now and see who gets the closest!

    Still sportin the TE-44's.
Yep Les car has the 2nd 383 test motor of Steves with a different cam and a complete freshening. My bird no longer has any type of GRENADE anything. Ans its probably not as fun either! :D Its a good 383 with internal balanced steel crank, H beams, forged pistons and the Dart 200's back on it. Same shitty Summit 224 cam but it seems to like it. Pray for 8.99999 and a steel toe boot kicking my ass off the track! :2thumbs:

With my luck thats probably what will happen! I havent hit it hard at our new track since they slapped down the new concrete launch pad but i bet it hooks like a bitch. I bet i fold up the stock torque arm if i hit it with all its got.
At what 60 ft time does the stock arm eat shit? Its been 1.44 so far and lived.
