So this is it, i think. It's a 1980 Ford Fairmont boxtop, it took me a long time to buy this car.

My plans are: 6.0l GM engine
    powerglide
    275/60's
Twin 70mm masterpower turbos with .68ar
    Twin 44mm wastegates
    AJE front suspension
    sn-95 spindles with PBR calipers
    Manual rack and brakes
8.8 rear with 3.08 gears (i will narrow it 1-1.5)
    Blow-thru with a crutch

This is what i'm starting with

    After a little wash

I got the engine out and all the front suspension is off. I will fill all the holes and paint the engine bay before the front stuff goes back on. I also just put a set of 5 lug axles in the 7.5 rear to roll around.

Yeah, i don't even want to buff the paint. The hood must have flipped up at some point because the cowl is bent down (didn't get the roof) so i need to fix that some how. I didn't think the wheels would look right with that color but i love it, just looks clean. And no flake :D

    John,

** Edit, checked another post of yours out on FEP. Purple car is on way out.

You sell the other one? I must have missed something. Last I read you had 2 monts and just aquired the two-toner but were making progress on the odd color g-ride.

At least the two toner looks more dated, the other colored one kinda gave itself away. I came close to strangling a friend of mine who recently acquired a damn straight 79 Zephyr boxtop that I had been trying to buy from an individual but he wouldn't sell. I don't have the space or funds to put into another car but just can't get rid of my 80 Futura to get the Z.

Well i got lazy and just painted the engine bay, i don't want to paint the car and i hate black engine bays. I found that rustolem tan matches well. :D

After i painted i put the front suspension on so i can roll the car around. The front fenders are just sitting on, in the last pictures.
