Re: 352ci sbf with s400 turbo project up & running!!!!

ITS RUNNING!!!!!! Had a crap load of issues getting this thing started but it's like music to my ears.... Had to replace a bad injector harness, brand new MSD coil not working, And to top it off the MSD distributor took a shit.... What a pain!!!! But ALL is good now, running great no problems to speak of.... I have some video on the Iphone but need to figure out how to downloat it to the site??? All I need to do now is front brakes, button up some wires, and last will paint the thing... Time for a beer!!!!!!

Didn't do any welding in the car with the ignition installed did you?

Car looks nice. Why only a 76mm?

All welding complete befor engine was installed. 76mm is the largest turbo for the local 275 drag radial class.. I can also swap out to a 91mm inlet housing for heads up class but car will only cert to 8.50 anyway.. This is my first turbo setup & I built this coupe from ground up by myself at home in a two car garage. So far it's taken me just over 3 years to build & only spent 12,000.00 total!!!

Well I took the coupe out for a ride today for the first time :chacha: No issues so far & water temp is at 165 degrees with fan on low & it was hot as hell out today!! Temp never went over 190 so I'm very happy with that.. Now just need to tune the car so it will be ready to make some passes.. Its a great to finaly get behind the wheel and drive this that for the first time in just over 3 years!!! :chacha: :chacha: I'm pumped & ready to go!!!

Clean work for such a minimal investment.

I ended up having to change from having breathers like that, with a lot of boost they get saturated, drip and smoke.

I think I have some reasonably clean headlights to help you do that primer justice :)

In all seriousness though it is rather sinister looking in primer.
