Snooze fest.............. I was hoping for some KO's or something more than 3 5 rnd fights all going the distance.. I cant understand how they brag up Jake shields BJJ skills but was in control for 4 rounds but didn't do shit, no submissions?? They also have the gay PRIDE entrance theme.. ALOT of take downs then......................... either submit or Pound them.

Then to top it off Jason Mayhem miller comes in and a brawl starts, HAHAHAHA. I bet the Execs at CBS are gonna LOVE this. He got into Shields face then shields and melindez pushed miller to the ground. What a JOKE of an organization... If that shit happened in the UFC i bet we wouldn't see those fools fighting anymore...

Almost every in ring fight i've seen recently has been at a Strikeforce event LOL...and all of them usually involve the Diaz boys or their crew.

 

Jake is a BJJ under the Gracies, but its not so easy to slap on a submission when you're fighting (wrestling) a 2 time olympic greco roman wrestler. Dan Henderson is no joke, just got out wrestled that night.

Mayhem didnt get in Shields face... I'm assuming he was sent into the ring to hype up another fight like alot of the orgs do, he went in there and let shields finish the sentence he was and then started talking... didnt interrupt him or anything... Nothing would have happened if those "badass" diaz brothers and melendez werent there in the ring. Why do you think Nick Diaz is no longer w/ the UFC? Nate keeps it up and he'll be long gone too.

this is 2 weekends in a row where the boxing on HBO was 10x more entertaining than the MMA cards.
I hope mayhem miller is on ellis today so we can hear wtf went on.

 

Him and his brother both do it all the time.... common knowledge they just have to flush real good before they take their piss tests for the fights.

 

I had the fight saved on my DVR and watched the brawl in slow mo.. Those damn diaz brothers were all over miller, hitting and kicking him when he was on the ground, what a bunch of thugs..

Off topic slightly but what do you guys think about faber vs. aldo? Might have to go to a bar and check that one out.

 

I might do the same if any bars get em... im not dropping $45 for a WEC event, when theyve been free up til now.
Should be a good fight tho. If you use MMA math, itd lead you to aldo winning, but I bet faber gives him a decent fight... I'll still go with Aldo.
