Nope been really busy with work and school :bang: and last. Also we have had a lot of snow out here and the car is at my parents (30 miles from me) out in the country and my daily driver is an 01 v6 mustang so I haven't been able to make it out there. I'm having trouble tracking down two studs I'd like to have though...they are for the timing cover that the coolant cross over tube sits on. The cross over tube never had those supports before, and right now I just have the bolts in there, but would kind of like the studs if I could find them.

Also been torn about the gearing (made another post) because my 8.8 I just put in has 456's and theres no way I'm running that. I have a set of 3.55's or can trade to a 3.73 for free. Given the auto and the tall tire I'm gonna probably give the 3.73 a shot. I can also buy 3.90s off a friend really cheap, but don't want to go to far with the gearing. I'm getting the swap done for free I just have to buy the gear install kit and fluid so If the 3.73s are too much it won't be too bad switching back to 3.55 (I don't think I'll need to.)

Also my most recent problem I don't think I posted about is the wheel spacers up front. Rather than to buy new ones 1" vs the 1 1/4" that was on it, I had a friend press out the studs and machine an 1/8" off each side (had to do it that way because of how the spacers are made). Well I got that done and the stock studs stick out past the spacer and hit the wheels  now I'm going to have to press the studs out and take 1/4" off of them.

On the bright side AIS finally got there competition kit restocked and shipped it yesterday. Should arrive tomorrow! I'll post pics of it as soon as I get it installed. Hopefully I'll be back out there this weekend.

I've heard the teksid is actually stronger...And I weighed my .020 over cast stock block and it was 143.5lbs and the teksid is around 80-85lbs I believe.

As of saturday the car is FINALLY running! Sounds a lot meaner than before. Think the cam timing, added compression, and larger downpipe all played a part. I don't have any new pics and its ony idled for 10 minutes or so.

I gotta be nice, the bald guy did a heck of a job on everything! Ya, I'm on them to finish the downpipe and swap gears.

Still gotta swap gears, weld on subframe connectors, finish downpipe, fix fuel level sending unit, convert to blow through with an hpx meter, and hook up the methanol before final tuning.

Update...converting to blowthrough before tuning. Ordered all the piping and an hpx sensor today! For anyone interested my maf, mafia, charge 2.5" charge pipe (From cooler to throttle body), and an old downpipe (3" vband with clamp) are going to be for sale soon. The downpipe is routed into the fender like the one pictured (works with stock suspension but might require skinnies). Anyway, hopefully this blow through conversion gives a little better drivability and lets me make a little more power :)

I wasn't seeing the best oil pressure (still OK, but not where I'd like it--motor was fine) so I decided to replace the stock oil pump I reused in the rebuild. I bought a high pressure pump like the 05+vehicles use. Also almost got the blow through conversion with the hpx maf done and am relocating the wastegate to after the merge pipe. I ordered the SCT ProRacer software and training dvd and a base tune from Don @ Lasota racing and should be starting on tuning in the next few weeks. Going to start with a 6psi and work my way up to 14psi on 93 octane. Then I'm gonna activate the methanol and turn it on up from there. I think I may go ahead and run a 50/50 mix though, but not a 100% sure on that. My short term goal is to run my old time of 11.40 @ 118 on 10psi, but on 6-7psi. Not sure if it will do it, but it has the 96-98 cams that are degreed, 3/4pt more compression, and will have 4-5* more timing and a better tune (was only a mail order tune before), lightly ported heads and a ported intake now. It also has 4.56 gears still...I have 3.55 but haven't installed them yet. I may go ahead and make a few passes before the gear swap (1/8 mile probably) just for the heck of it, but who knows.
