I wanted to thank alan at dirt dog converters and would suggest him for your 2.3 converter needs. I just got it installed after waiting to find the ambition for five months and boy i wish i did it sooner. The converter stalls just like he said from a stop and footbrakes right where he said. It drives like a stocker until floored and then it takes off. It is way way faster than the T5 i had even speed shifting the T5. Thanks alan!

It's a 1992 mustang that was originally a 2.3NA auto car. I put the 8.8 disc T bird rear in, turbo 2.3 engine and T5 swap. I just the other day swapped to the C5 trans and converter. The engine is all stock i rebuilt with an EFI lower i welded and ported to make it carbed, holley 350 two barrel i modded, self made carb hat, stock turbo, powerstroke intercooler, alky spray,3.73 gears, self ported head no valve job just the 45* seat- lots to be had yet, 25psi. It went 12.90 @ 112mph last weekend with a 2.2 60' and should now run 11.90ish @ 115+ if it gets any traction. Car weighs 3100lbs with driver, power seats, mirrors, windows daily driver. I want to run 11's on all stock junk then swap turbos to see how much is gained, then possibly large valves and finish porting the head to see how that gains.

I'm also finishing my 1989 nissan 240sx that had a twin turbo 5.0 that ran 10.90 @ 127.5 to a turbo 2.3. It will have big valve self ported head, massively ported and welded EFI lower, crane 230-238 cam, holley 500, self made carb hat, 8.75 chrysler rear, self built 3 link, C4 trans, dirty dog converter. It should run 10.20ish all stock engine except cam and larger valves and springs.
