We had a high of about 10 yesterday. Went to Birmingham on a business trip last week and it was only in the 30's and all the locals were freaking out. Felt realtively balmy to me while I was there. :D

Get's real old by March or so. :bang:

My beard gets full of ice and snow when I shovel, make me look like snow man.

I don't know how we put up with it either. Its like a ghost in your house, you pretend it's not there until it kills somebody.

Call me crazy but in the morning it's been in the high teens and with no wind and standing in the sun I could get buy with a sweet shirt.

But in the late afternoon 4:30 and later as the temp starts to get into the mid to low 30's
    I'm freezing my ass off.

Here in south MS the humidity stays 70% + most of the time.
I'm thinking that makes it feel colder than it really is above freezing.

First we learn the extended ASCII table. ;) (press "alt", type "0186", and release).

Second, deal with it. Bitching about it sometimes helps, but then you realize everyone you talk to on a daily basis is bitching about it, so you stop bitching and dress warmer. Always have gloves, a hat, and possibly a scarf if it gets really windy and cold (you guys probably won't get the nasty wind chill down south).

If it's really cold and really windy out then I just stay inside, light a fire in the fireplace, and play with the kids until they go to sleep. After the kids are asleep I annoy the wife.

See I guess I'm the other way around, I hate the cold (really cold), but kind've enjoy the snow. Maybe that's cause I have a cab on the tractor now and don't get covered in snow when I blow out the driveway.

That's no shit, I'm worried about night travel when it gets back below freezing and the roads are a solid sheet of ice.

No doubt it will be tricky. A few days of melt won't get rid of all we have and then it'll refreeze as thick ice. I just hope to get all the snow/ice off the house as the gutters don't like being full o ice with big ass sickles

Flew into Omaha yesterday for work and can't believe the snow, I thought the Chicago area was bad. There are 3 -4' mountains of snow on eother side of the sidewalks and every strip mall has a 6-8' hill surrounding the parking lots. Nice warm up today though, walking around without a coat cause it was close to 40*. :D Now the streets are sloppy as hell here now with everything melting. I'll be glad to get home tonight.

This thread helps me put up with it. Some of you have way more snow and cold then we do in R.I. so I'm not feeling to bad about it now. The shit does get old though. Snow was way more fun when my only worry was if the 3 wheeler would start so I could blast through the snow banks and tow people around on the sled.
