OK, so the guy fixing my cold side piping has been hounding me to throw spray on the car as well as the boost. Is the small shot really worth it?

depends on how much boost you run..if it's like 10-15 pounds you could run a nice little shot of jucie..just keep in mind that your motor can only hold so much psi so if you are running boost and spray they both create pressure in the cylenders.

Yeah, I just wasnt sure if its even worth it or not or if the ach/meth injection would be better. I will be running at least 15lbs.

You might consider a small kit just to make it spool faster/instantly, then have it set up to stop spraying once you are seeing positive pressure.

Turbine backpressure and Nitrous are not a great combination.

I am not a fan of using N20 cause N20 back fires are a bitch.!

If you are using 2v heads and you turbos are maxing out you availabe head flow would a shot of nitrous add any more power?

    Why not get bigger turbos?

Well what if your heads are at their max cfm where adding a bigger turbo or more boost dosent increase Hp, Since nitrous adds hp diffently than boost would you gain anything from using it or if the heads are maxed is that it? I only have twin 57's but before I went turbo I used spray and I still have the kit on my car, if it will never do me any good hp wise I might as well sell it.

Im around 650 wheel on boost, over 700 torque...Basic turbo 2v with T70. Then I have a 50 and 75 shot, but the couple times I've sprayed it, traction was non exsistant. Low boost and a 50 jet works great! I spray a dry kit pre MAF. Never had it dyno'd with nitrous, but basic math would put the car over 700 h/p, and around 800 tq, at which point the stock intakes, cams, and stage 1 head are likely becoming a restriction in making more power. You can extend the usable range of a given turbo/turbos with nitrous.

Your making 650HP with a stock intake and cams, T70 and stage 1 heads? Whats your short block and what Fuel? Those seem like big numbers for that combo. Email me if you would I am getting ready to dyno mine.

Self built shortblock with the right parts, and dual GSS340 pumps in a modded Cobra hat, Cobra tank, dual -8 feed, and -6 return, Aeromotive regulator, 60lb injectors, PMAS MAF. My last dyno was 620 horse, 700 torque, with spark blow out at 4500RPM ( shut down right at peak torque). The 650 figure is a solid estimate based on torque. Yes, you can make over 600 with the stock cams and intake. There have been quite a few that have done it before. To get to that figure, I am seeing a good amount of boost (20psi). I need to do more testing, but so far, the turbo and engine are still responding well at 25psi of boost. This figure alone shows the intake and heads are not up to par, thus the high boost reading to make decent power.

How much power are you looking at making, and what is your combo?

I run nitrous with my setup 100 shot which tapers off when the boost comes on. I run the NX Boost Reference Nitrous Controller. If you are serious about spraying with a turbo and making it work well and safe I would look into this setup. Its really only used at the track or from a high roll on the street, with this i do not have any turbo lag so full boost is pretty much instant.

So what about the guys that spray 150 on top of the kenny bells in the 0304 cobras running 25psi? Whats the dif with 25psi outa a turbo and a 150 shot??? alot of those guys do that.
