would s400's be to big for a 5.4 4v??? here are the specs on the motor...

    5.4 non NVH
4v navi heads ported and polished

enough fuel and supporting mods to carry 2000HP...

motor is about to go together and the next big purchase is the twins... its either the s400's or the s380s...

stall is a 3400 stall from circle D 5 disk blah blah blah... built trans and all...

    That compression is too low
17cc on a navi setup .20 over will be arround 8.22
Let hope your head s don't get a bowl work cause then the compression will drop even more, arround 8.0
That thing is going to be a DOG, lol.

PS# you can afford my setup.

but yeah i would say s400s may be a bit on the large side would do well at about 11k rpm. i'm a fan of the big single myself though. i just have one s400 80mm for my 5.4. hopin for 1000 to 1100 rwhp with it

i dont want to spin over 7500 really... dave said i could get a decent a/r for it... in the t4 housing... so spool will be alright... good upper which is good...

it would be the smallest s400's dave can get... i think they are 71mm.... they are my last purchase i will make before the truck starts...

i want to make over 1k to the wheels with ease.. i have a 2 stage nitrous setup to go with my motor also... :) it will go on it for sure... help the spool....

well the 71mm comp isnt gonna flow any where near enough to make 1000hp. just do the 80mm with 1.10 ar and you can get your 1000 and spool well.

you don't need that nitrous mess to spool a turbo either. the tune makes a huge diff in how it spools. and havin big stuff is what will make that easy.
and don't even use the t4 the t6 will be just fine.

keep reading on here and search most everything has been covered at least three times

what are a good set of turbos for street use with a 5.4 4v. Ive found a used navi engine and if i get it, i was thinking of running twin 60's with at least .63 a/r exhaust housings. will this be fun on the street or will it end up spooling up to slow

There are a few car in this forum running that setup in a twin application making over 1200rwhp
with a .70 a/r on the cold side and a .68 a/r in the exhaust side...

At some point you need to be realistic.

    You want 1600RWHP
on a full weight Harley Truck
    on 24's spinners
    with 4 TV's
sound system with 4 12's woofers
with Air ride suspension with ground effects & neon light's
    & Run low 8's
    LOL.!

and do you relize how big s400s are no matter what comp wheel is in them they are still a large housing. so you should be lookin at s300s if you really want to use borg warner.two s366s would be good and hit your 1000. if money isnt an issue i would use another brand turbo i'm only using one cause they are cheap
