Just wondering if a 40 mm wastegate would be big enough?

    I have a 355 SBC mild, iron headed, Turbonetics T76 with .96AR housing, 850 C&S blow through.

Looking to run around 8-10 psi. to start

    Thanks

    Randy

Or should I just go with a 44mm. There is only like a 1/4" difference between them.

I dont have either one yet. A friend of mine has a 40mm that he wants to give to me for next to nothing. I was wondering what the min amount of boost I would be able to make with it???

Depending on how its positioned with regard to exh flow i bet it would work. I'm runnin an old tial 35mm as low as 5psi with a 302 with aluminum heads and intake. Just don't put it on the crossover pipe. that prob won't work

Out side of the radius feeding the turbo and you will getaway with it. For a little while.

I think a 40mm would be fine but it also matters where its placed. If its placed on the crossover, you generally need to go bigger than at the merge.
