CRANKING COMPRESSION

    What is everyone at on cranking compression? And how much is to much!!!!

    Too many variables ?? Cam etc.. Std engine 150 / 170 psi...

    lots of variables, cam, stat comp, bore size.... seen as much as 200 and as little as 150. with stick motors main thing to remember is not the number but the difference in the cyl. numbers ie 150,150,160,150, 90, 160

    just wanting to play with cam timing and was wondering what the max you would feel safe at.

    Are you trying to work out dynamic compression ratio ??
    I find it easier to work out static, using capacity and math's..
