the tire pictured is a junkyard tire that i used for fitment.

I just put bfg radial t/a's on. Used these because i got a KILLER deal on some brand new tires! they will get me by until tuned, then i'll put a drag radial out back. The fitment of these tires is just as perfect, if not a little better. Once I get the skinnies mounted, I'll get some pictures of all around the car.

Also - on the pictures above, the suspension isn't settled. it actually sits much lower and even better than pictured. Too dark now to get a good picture, tomorrow will have em all

how hard was it to make those headers work. will they work better than the truck manifolds

For my setup they worked better than the truck manifolds. When extended the 1.5" or whatever that they were, it allows ample room for stock spark plug wires and such. Truck manifold setups are perfect for f-bodies. they've been proven to over 1000rwhp, can't go wrong there!

The headers were flipped Ford 1&5/8" shorties with an LS flange that was 1/2" thick but was setup for 1&3/4" holes. There is a 1.5-2" long piece of 1&3/4" tubing that was used to space the headers away from the motor as mike described. They were also so the header tubes had a smooth step up to the flange size. I really thought the idea was trick. Taught me something. Welding job could have been much better but it'll seal. Nothing a little header wrap can't hide.

Get that damned thing running already!!!

It'll be running soon enough Dave. There has been a lot going on around here so I haven't had as much time to work on it as I'd like.

Did a lot of work but don't have any pictures of it.

Did a lot of wiring. Removed unused wires, rerouted some wiring, and wired up the cooling fan. I got most of it deciphered and just need to get it out of heats way then the wiring shuold be mostly done!

Decided to go against the wheel spacer idea. I went ahead and just put the single piston calipers on there and those things will allow practically any wheel up front! Will still provide more than enough braking power for me as well. Fitment is flawless and it looks great! Will have good pictures tomorrow

Still accepting offers! Always for sale for the right price! ;)

Yeah still stock suspension. The economy got a hold of my wifes job so I'm not going to be digging into suspension components for a while if ever. That being said, i've seen 1.4 60's from the stock suspension. Not too shabby!

Left town earlier than I thought and just got back. Haven't done any work till today.

    Today:

    - took out turbo kit
    - sanded everything
    - "ceramic coated" everything
    - let dry and began heatwrapping

I've been wondering what's going on. Looks like you're getting it done. Wish I had the time for the garage.

    Good luck with it Mike.

Thanks Dave! I'm still lacking motivation so I don't get much done when i do work on it. There are a bunch of small things needed still which add up and can be a bit frustrating. Makes it feel like it's never going to be done!

    Today:

    - Modified dipstick for proper clearance (didn't need as much as i thuoght!)
    - Completed "phase 1" of engine detailing.

Going to probably have four or five phases of this. three of them being while the turbo kit is out of the car. Took a while but it looks 10000x better now.
