X2 I would utilize some Y action.. I don't like the idea of slamming the fuel into a wall. No doubt the middle pump will suffer, probably heat up and not last as long. A simple combo of Y's would allow a better flow path IMO

A few folks have used the Y method and a few months back someone was selling a 3 y setup in classifieds

i already have mine laided out, and im doing extactly as above with the -8( two -8's out of the cell into the pumps and then y'd into a single -8).....already have been running the single walbro for over a year and have been 119mph@7psi untuned in my truck with a 360cube engine......i have a lean conditon up top so im adding the second, plus i had it already any how

im sure the -8 is fine esp since Enginerd has been in the 8's with this setup

I run the dual Cartech pump setup. It is exactly the same as the fuel log on the pump output shown but only 2 pumps running Pierburg pumps. I also questioned the fuel log but when I went to the dyno the setup was able to max out my 83's with no drop in fuel pressure which was 67psi at 15psi. I am running a fuel pickup in a stock tank with -10 from the tank to a y block to -8 to the pumps. I might goto 160's and either add a Boost a Pump or a 3rd Pierburg to be on the safe side.

I'm maxing out my 83's running 157mph. I'm thinking of adding a 3rd pump with no other changes to see if my duty cycle goes down. If so, I know I need more pump. If not, I'll know I need more injector.

The common arguement is that the Walbros are more relaible (in a street application), than the larger "race pumps". This includes the A1000. Two Walbros should be good for 800-900 HP. Beyond that level, guys are adding a 3rd pump.

Probably by at least 2 times.

I am going to remove the pressure side and measure the different volumes of liquid that come out of each pump with them running wide open, I'll update this thread with my findings.
