About a year ago some guy came to my shop with a V-6 chevy in the back of his truck. It looked like a BBC with 2 holes cut off. It was an aluminum block/ canted valve heads and had a intake that looked like a bigger version of a GN mani. It was all factory looking castings and had some 80's looking turbo hanging off the front of it. I figure being some 80's road racing deal... It "found" it's was out of Race Rock in Orlando when they closed. I know this may be the wrong forum, but there is lots of traffic in here.

I saw some whack BBC engines cut down at an off road buggy race years ago.

 

I had a friend with a 1/2 ton pick up with that engine. Man that was a torque monster.

 

We have a forklift (Hyster) with that motor in it. What a peice of shit!

 

Would the truck engine have a aluminum block and heads? Also is it canted valve?

Swing and a miss.... This thing looked just like a BBC missing two hole.

 

GM use to sell aluminum blocks and I think canted valve heads for 4.3 based engines for circle track use.

 

I know a guy that bought a bunch of old race stuff. Some of them look like a V-6 BBC.
