Got the car to Hook up after some more testing on the MT ET Streets Tuesday night at their Street Tire Quick 16. Ran a 8.8X @ 149 to qualify #2. Ended up being runner up after losing in the final easing it off the starting line. Ran a 9.41 @ 155 trying to chase the dude down. LOL. Had a good time. The guys that won helped me out quite a bit between Tire Pressure and making sure I was "in the groove". Thanks Tim Mallicoat & Son. And Bill Silva as well... Not sure if they're on this board or not. Tim Huspen explained some tuning in the Digital 7 that helped out as well. Thanks.

I'll post up a link to the Gateway Sight when they post the results...

The only bad thing about the evening is my 3 year old motor maybe getting a little tired. It was blowing smoke out of the vent cans after that last hard pass and is down on oil about a quart and a half. And at the big end of the track was told that it was blowing a little smoke. I'm going to do a cranking compression and maybe Leak down test. Nice thing about having a data logger in the car is that I can go back & look at A/F & engine RPM to get a little more info.

Nice seeing you out with the car...Hope it's not hurt, but might need to freshen it up after the THIRD year running it anyway :chacha: Notice the tires STARTING to wrinkle on the launch..(in the pics) maybe need to check why the car is unloading the tires, as it looks like the initial hit is good :2thumbs: If it's not hurt come on out to the battle of the boards OCT 3. Hope you had a good time...P.S. hows the FINGER

I'll get the engine checked out this weekend and go from there. I have a pretty good idea why it's unloading the tires. The data Logger is showing me some good info.

I took about a 1/4 inch of flesh out of my index Finger while putting the safety pin back in the parachute. LOL I'll live. Thank God I had some paper towels and Duct Tape to make a bandaid. :2thumbs:

Had a great time. A friend of mine wants to bring his daily driver out next Tuesday to make a pass or 2 so I'll catch up with you then. Thanks again.

Thanks. Bret's a good guy. He actually got me in the groove during the final.

Did a Leakdown on the motor and saw some kinda weird variances. Only tested 3 cylinders (Cold). But with 2 cylinders leaking 23% and the other 45%, something screwy is going on. I need to get the others checked and figure it out from there. Motor still runs and idles good, just blows smoke out the breathers pretty bad. Pressure is getting by the rings, the intake, or the valves and getting in the crakcase.

If going in to the crank case it is the rings. If going into the intake it is intake valves, if going into the exhaust it is the exhaust valves. The heads could of moved a little over the years, and the valves not sealing. But if putting pressure in the crank case it is the rings.
