If you combo doesn't flow much and you have a small cam you will just have alot of "boost" pressure, although it will just be back pressure.
Because it cannot get into the motor. With good heads and larger lift cam you could see more hp at a lower boost pressure.

If it's an SBC it can have one of a dozen cams in it potentially "stock" ranging from the 179/195 peanut cam to the 224/224 cam used in a bunch of the late 60s applications. What year and application engine are we talking here?

It had 186 casting heads and the block matches, so if its a fuelie engine would it have a turbo friendly camshaft?
While making a test run the waste gate stuck and went to like 28 PSI :bang: :bang: :bang:. The engine blew, I removed the heads, the pistons looked ok, but I broke 6 valve springs and pulled a couple of studs out. Now I have some 993 heads and would like to run a 224/224 114 summit cam. I think it has a 460 lift.

Flyinhillbilly on this site has tried a few combos using a S-400 and could give you some good advice on cam size and what RPM band he gets out of his setup too. Hit him up with a PM. :2thumbs:
