hahaha, come on man, gotta keep u motivated

besides, i got the rails modified, cut lengthened and welded to fit my plans. so now all thats left to get her started up is 3 ignition box wires and plug the fuel pump back up. might hear some open exhaust 6.0L tomorrow. the 83# injectors are getting installed tonight, i'll set up a basic tune for the MS and plug a timing chip into the 6010 box

oh, and i'm ordering my 4L80E rebuild parts tomorrow so the trans will be next

Cool deal man! You'd be proud of me... I finally sent off my donor computer for the MS today! I got some other stuff done last weekend that I'll be posting in my thread... Keep us posted man!

allrighty then, fuel rail leak fixed. fuel system is DONE!

MSD 6010 hooked up and acknowledging my lap top

My freshly powder coated, and quite bad ass looking brackets are back from the powder coater. I'll bet nobody in the history of getting stuff powder coated has gotten them back as quickly as i did. Sent them thursday, got them back today !!!! And i must say they do look marvelous! Unatural is the man with the powder coating plan. now if the bird sized mosquitos would lay off i could get them mounted and snap some pics. Wayne, your welcome to post the pics if you like.

Awesome, glad to hear that everything got back ok and that you got the fuel system all worked out. I'm looking forward to seeing this thing all together in the engine compartment. Did you get to start playing with making the piping for the kit yet or no?

what K member did you use? if its a 4.6 how is the steering shaft clearance. i am getting C6 manifolds for mine but i am doubtful it will clear. i may have to make my own headers or move the motor forward.

i'll bet if ups wasn't involved mine could have been like that. hell he has a drive thru window in his garage

nuckifuts - UPR 5.0 fox k-member. everything fits great, i made motor mount adapter plates that moved the motor back 1 inch and still have steering shaft clearance

unatural - no mock up yet. waiting for the trans instal so i know exactly where everything will need to be. the turbos will be right in front of the engine just below the water pump pulley. i angled the rad forward at the bottom just so i had enough room for them there. i think they'll face each other and th downpipes will snake around the suspension and exit about where a full length header collector would end up. in fact i may buy a shorty X pipe for long tubes and a muffler tailpipe kit so its all bolt in. i'm hoping to finally hear it fire up saturday thru the factory truck manifolds....

If I didn't have a job that got in the way of my play time and side projects, then hell yeah. I have to have some way to support my habits though.

let me tell ya, i almost set it on fire the other day when the rails leaked for the 3rd time. then when i finally got them fixed i cut an o-ring putting the injectors in. luckily i had extras. but i'll win, trust me

Man...you know I feel your pain!!!! At least you have the knowledge from previous builds to get you through! I get so sick of worrying if what I'm doing is right...or is it going to last this way, etc. You know the coupe is gonna be a bad ass ride when done!

I think I'm going to have a huge party when I get done!! About the only thing left to do is have my buddy finish welding my exhaust and hooking up the MS when I get it.... Definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!!!

BTW...do you happen to know anyone that has a stock 302 for sale? My buddy has a Jeep that he is building an thought about throwing a 302 in it... It's just for mudding and going to the woods, so he's not looking for anything special...

it's really not rocket science, if you get stuck feel free to call. i'll try to steer you in the right direction. You are going to get it running on stock electronics right? As for a sock 5.0 motor, those 2 junk yards in West Palm off Benoist Farms road always have motors in there. Last i heard they were $150

Yeah, I know...I guess it's just my nature! I want to do it right the first time and not have any future problems (at least not do to my screw ups!!) I just don't want to overlook something stupid that will cost lots of $$ down the road! Hell, apparently I don't even know when to put fuel in the car....

I know that you'll help, and I do appreciate all of the help and advice you've given me thus far... Once I get the car running good (where you won't be embarrassed to be associated with me), I plan to put a big RPS sticker on the car... I'm not a fan of stickers on cars, but I definitely feel that is the least I can do! Plus, that dude that wants to do the photo shoot on my car for Modified Mustangs has been back in touch with me...so at least it will be some free publicity!!

BTW...my friend is definitely coming over tonight to weld my exhaust!! One more thing down!

oh shit.... it started this morning. and for all the nay sayers of megasquirt - i typed in injector size, CID, estimate of power and it created a VE that started the motor on the first lick. and ran smooth with the 83# injectors. she purred like a kitten... a kitten with open headers on a quiet saturday morning in Boca. I spend a couple hours last night finishing up some little things so this morning i could concentrate on seeing if it would start. i just knew it would be a bitch getting it to fire initially, but i turned the key and VRROOOMMMM. i almost shit myself. more later
