yeah, and from what i've read the manifolds will flow some serious air. In fact looking inside them it looks like a very smooth casting. Also they have really nice heat sheilds from the factory and should look very cool once the manifolds are coated.

Frank, i've decided not to do v-bands, since the turbos will be right in front of the engine just above the crank pulley i'm just going to weld 2 1/2" tubing directly to them right into the T4 flange. should be a short trip from mani to turbo. spool up should be lightning quick

Sounds like a good plan! We didnt have the luxury of that on the Fbody with twin 70s.

you know it. i cranked the engine last night to build oil pressure, it pegged the factory gauge after about 10 seconds of cranking. this weekend i'm wiring in the MSD controller and hopefully put fuel to her and see if it will start!!!!!

Hi Dman,

Damn, nice build! Now you have me thinking on my high HP next build. (goin to start out with a stock block 302 & mega squirt for 1st turbo build till I get tuning it down!. That LS6 will be much cheaper to build then a dart block windsor or even a boss 302 block build up. According to 95silverstallion (on page one), that block has been to 1500hp!

Are you planning on using a forged crank, h beam rods and forge pistons? Are you gong with a the factory heads ported for about a grand? And you are staying with the stock manifold correct?

So now that you have a stout ass aluiminum block, what hp and boost levels are you aiming for???

Damn, I am guessing two MPT70's at about 20lbs + boost, will equal around 1400hp! 1400hp and an aluminum block, when are you going to install the automatic diaper changer in the passenger seat???

i'm using the iron truck block. it's a completely stock engine except the cam, which is from a z06. i've seen these motors go deep into the nine second range, i'm hoping for 750-800hp.

well no go for starting it. machine shop didn't have the rails done in time. but i picked them up monday night, we welded fittings to them tuesday night and now we just have to weld the hold down brackets and they are done. i'll get some pics tomorrow.

Tires didnt stay under it. Looking at the video it went from 10psi at launch to 15psi in .04seconds and the 275s didnt like that. Now you know why I ordered the controller. Just like magic I just got a box

Sorry for stupid question but why are u using msd-controller and megasquirt together. I thought it is possible nowadays to drive the cop's with megasquirt, or have I understood wrong?

You can run MS with COP's now but I dont understand the mods on how to do it either so I did the same thing you are doing and will just run the MSD box for ignition and MS for fueling. Project looks good!

I see they've finally started on the demo at Moroso... It'll be interesting to see how the finished product turns out!

I finally have three days to work on the car this weekend!! I hooked up my saftey switch last night and plan to finish the exhaust tomorrow or sunday... Should be ready right in time for Moroso to re-open!!

vader - i'm not a fan of hooking them up in wasted spark config. They seem to loose some umpf like that. More pics this weekend (if it don't rain)

lebaron - they are working on a plug and play style MS to run LS1 coils, but until thats a no brainer i'll go with this.

Disturbed - Jim my knowledge is only greater than my ability to fly. I'm happy they started demo, but i've heard thru the grapevine that the timeframe was greatly underestimated as they think the underlayment for the track is more subpar than they anticipated..... so your right, you may get your car done by then

Yeah, I figured re-opening by October was a but of a stretch! If I can get my exhaust done this weekend and some of the little things tied up, hopefully I'll finally put it on the road in the next week or so... I still need to order my stuff for the MS, but I'm going to use the PMS for the time being.... You ready to come out here and help me with some tuning??
