Timing for Twin LQ4 408

    Need an idea of what timing to run on a LQ4 408 with twin MP T-70s

    Depends on what gas you are running. We're running 15degrees on our stock bottom end LQ4 with a GT47-88 with Q16. I would say 17-19 degrees.

    Sorry, Going to run E85.Are you running timing locked or are you using the map sensor to remove on boost?

    Right now its very basic locked timing. Currently having somebody doing the tuning and he seems to do a good job but I want to get more ponies out of it. Not necessarily more PEAK power but more area under the curve so to speak. Quicker spooling, etc.

    Youre talking about the Isuzu truck? How much boost and how quick has it gone?

    Yes, We made 17 with it but had to pedal alot for the first 60' last weekend. The first weekend out it went 5.82@119 on the 10psi WG spring, this weekend pedalling it went 6.1@119 with 13psi WG springs.

    Going to have to put a controller on the boost and possibly the timing too

    Yep thats the plan. AMS1000 and adjust the timing map some.

    so many variables that are not in this question........... start at 15 and keep the boost under 10 and work your way up from there, every car/setup is different.

    when you say locked, im guessing you mean the same amount all the way across the graph right??????? you guys run hpt or bs3, or what?????

    Yes. Its tuned with EFI Live, in speed density mode (3bar map)
