Am I mistaken or did I meet you a million years ago at Carlsbad?

I am pretty sure that was your car. I hung out with you and your friends by the trailer. I still had the same black coupe back then, but was probably on 10th anniversary rims.

Are you going to the super street car nationals in vegas?

    You are not mistaken.
    You have a good memory.
I may go to vegas but would like to get a few more shakedown passes first to bring the times down where they need to be and bring on consistancy.
I always keep the skull and crossbones on the front of the car.

    Thanks Slo_240sx.
I am changing the turbos this week, I ran the others out of air.
If you listen closely in the video you can hear me get out of it for a sec (also showed up on the datalogger). It will do much better, just need more turbo.

Now this is mint!!!!!! This is exactly what i needed to see for some inspiration :2thumbs: People were telling me that a car like this was nor possible to build out of your garage mostly due to the lack of jig/frame table! Just a few questions though 1. How big is your garage? 2. Do you have any pictures of the engine bay w/o the motor in?

    Thanks

    Thanks 351monster,
Many many many pics are here http://www.wallracing.com/images

I am sure there are some pics without the motor in there.
Doing the WHOLE thing (chassis, cage, motor, fuel cell, turbo kit, water cell, etc. etc. etc) is a pain in the arse though. Sometimes it is more cost effective to just buy stuff. Example, it took 4-5 hrs to build my rear fuel cell because it was not a normal square fuel cell and I had to buy the aluminum and I wanted it to fit a certain way with a sump on the bottom yet sit flat, I could have bought a square one for about a hundred bucks. Don't forget to figure in the cost of the welding rod, argon, material, etc., somethings are just more cost effective to buy. However, when you are done, there are very very very few that have done the same to the extent you are talking about.

I have a 2 car garage. Be carefull where you put the tubing bender, I hit my car more than once bending tubing. If I was going to do it again, I would just go buy a car already done. It will save ya a whole lot of work, and probably money too.

I'm going to say it one more time........If I was going to do it again, I would just go buy a car already done. It will save ya a whole lot of work, and probably money too.

I understand what you're saying silver but i always had a problem giving money to someone else for something i feel like i could do. Certain things you should buy no question about it. I just want to say good on ya for having the sack to tackle something like this. Did you have alot of fab experience prior to this? I've kind of built an actual shop over the years of working with cars so i feel equipment wise i have what is required it's just the actual gathering up the guts to start.

    good job once aqain

    Hey silver

Quick question when you were building the back half did you raise the rear tires up into the wheel wells to simulate ride height and then build the back??

    Thanks

The entire car itself was set to "ride height" with the rear end and an old set of tires under there to check for clearence(s) for the rear portion.

But 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

Yes, I may have ran a bead or 2 during the build process.
I am glad I took those pics cause people don't realize how much work really goes into some of these cars.

I like the little welding icon.
