I finally ordered my catback and it will be here sometime this week. I have a question about the wastegate tube that plumbs it back into the exhaust. I bought my kit used so I didnt get any instructions, but is that a slip fit on that tube or is there a clamp for it that im missing? If it is indeed slip fit, do I need to install it on the Y pipe first and then bolt it up the gate afterI put the Y pipe up under the car?

Also, how tight does everyone get the "bands" on the slip fit connections on the Y pipe?

The tube from the WG slides into the D/P and clamps on.

I'll just let you know, that evolution WG is pretty much topped out on a factory car. I'm in the process of trying to fit a racegate in there right now.

 

I'm using a TiAL wastegate on mine currently, my buddy took the evolution one.

So there is a clamp that goes on the wastegate tube where it goes into the Y pipe? Hmm, I dont think I have one but I'll look to see if I maybe looked over it. Thanks!

 

I dont have that clamp, what size it and I'll go get one at advance auto? Thanks!
