Got my car dyno'd yesterday and i notice that after i go into boost a little bit then push the clutch in my car just dies..It is fine when i go through the gears and then when i get to say 4th let off and slowly come to a stop but if i were to boost then push the clutch in it just dies, then once i get it started and start going again it's almost like it cant get into boost and the car starts to surge and jitter like a critter. Thanx A Lot.

 

I am kind of thinking it is my MAF, the lighting MAF i had in onloy had 4 prongs and his tuner had 6 so he put the old MAF back in, could this be the problem ?

 

Anybody at all ?

 

a few details about your cars set up would be helpful...

a bad mass air meter could cause problems... or being overly rich under boost, perhaps...

oh, sorry.. Its a 03 Mustang GT, hellion 62mm turbo kit, exhaust, anything else ? Not sure how much timing he ran, i will ask him today. Running 8 lbs of boost.

 

The bypass on the hellion routes to right by the MAF. If your tuner is worth his salt, tell him he should be able to tune around the design of that system.
