i took the car to Rogersville, TN (1/8) mile track. car felt very strong but would not hook up. As soon as the car reached 10 lbs of boost it would immediately brake loose, even on the top end. First pas i had to get out of it 3 to 4 times and ran a 7.5 @94 crossing the line half sideways. The second run was similar but at the end of the run it must have pushed out a head gasket. I haven't tore into it yet but there is water in the oil. This is the first time the car has ever broke loose in high gear at 80+ mph.

Mean50, its been a ong time sense I have been to that track (back in th e80's). I can remember when they ( Honest to God) had to weed eat the grass on the pavment before you could run. The track was so narrow that many of the guys I know would not even race there.

But I here it is suppost to be a lot better now, but I am guess its still not the best on hooking up. Will they still let anything run down there. Why didnt you just go to Bristol & race? I guess that when I stop going to Rodgersville, is when Bristol started letting the locals race there. But to be honest, I always enjoyed Cherokee alot better. I guess thats still the name of it. If i have to race & Bristol is not open I will go to Farmington NC now. But I am going to have ot make a trip to Rodgersville just see who's down there anymore. Thats the first track I ever made a pass at, and guess who the first race I had was against (big name, local).

when bristol is open for street fights there is so many cars that you can only get 2 or 3 runs all night while some of the friends of the track get to run whenever they want. another bad thing is that it looks like a fast and furious movie over there.

Rogersville is better than it used to be, still narrow though. The track was prepped pretty good, when my car got up to boost it would go into tire shake and begin to turn sideways.
