What do you guys think of this knock sensor setup?

    Do you have any info on it? Or do you know anyone who has used this setup? I plan on tuning with a tweecer rt. Thanks

    I bought it and got it hooked up. Now I just need to get the car started.

    Where did you mount the sensor?

    I have it mounted on the right front where the stock wiring loom would have bolted. The best place to mount sensor would be in the vally. I really don;t know if or how well it will work. The nice thing is that it is adjustable.

    Interesting :hmm:

    Has your reading given any mention to how the knock sensor will perform exposed to oil like in a sbf engine?

    sorry, What I ment was: The ideal place would be in the lifter valley(open intake valley).I understand for all purposes this is not practicle for our application.
    I have mine on the right front of the block.

    This is where i'm going to start.They may be a better place to bolt this. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to share.

    The LT1 type screw right into the water drain plugs.
    OR weld a bolt to a steel 1/4" NPT plug for the type your using.
    This give 2 knock sensor spots on both banks, you really need to run 2 knock sensors on a V8 if you can't put one in the valley.
