I am getting ready to upgrade my DSM BOV. Time to get rid of that cheapo thing. I was thinking of using the Tial 50mm. I was wanting to get a few opinions before I actually ordered it. I am not a ricer but I do want a "ricer" BOV (I want it to be heard). I would really like a loud one. I am going to be running 10-12 psi. On the right track or something different?

Greddy Type RS or the older Type S if you can find one.

I was running an HKS super sequential blow off valve and I liked the way it sounded. If you want something loud then that's the one you want. It is also a well built piece that gave me no problems.

I believe Tial style BOVs are the most effective, offer a nice smooth whoosh but are not the loudest. I can hear mine if Im under 3k, anything past that and my open DP overrides everything.

Glad I'm hearing good things about the Tials, because that's what I have sitting out in the garage waiting to be combined with all my other stuff for the DIY setup. Also a Tial wastegate... :chacha:

HKS Racegate here, can't complain, sounds good too, also is adjustable, and doubles as a pop off valve

Can the Tial 50mm be used to recirculate the air, or they just dump into the atmosphere?

So how does that affect the MAF?

.....it doesnt if you are blowthrough. If you are drawthrough, you need something different.

yeah, if it is a blowthrough, no big deal. On a Drawthrough, you are dumping meter air and that will in most cases cause the car to stall (Or at least run very rich for a few seconds)

Would I be better off going back to Speed Density and using my PMS to tune it as opposed to using a MAF?

it would be alot easier to just get a recirculating BOV.
