What were you running for boost and what HG did you have on it? Hoping I'm pretty safe at 10 psi with cometics and a fairly rich tune, no detonation that I can sense at least

Re: HP sn95 Turbo Kit install & Engine Install

Just wanted to post an update good and bad :(

Got around to replacing my exhaust gaskets and found a couple of spark plugs loose.  Got everything back together damn header bolts took me hours.  My car now is ridiculous.  I have yet to floor it, but blow the tires out in 1st, 2nd and 3rd when I get on it 10psi     Kumho ecstas 275 on 10.5 inch rims

I am getting used to it, let my older bro drive it since it was his old car, told him not to get on it in 1-3, he gave a little too much in third and fishtailed out of control, drove over the median and trashed the wheels and caster camber plates.

Just reordered an afs wheel package with 315's sumitomos HRTZ to try them out, also upped my shock setting to 8 of 9 to stiffen it up.

What do you guys run for tires and LCA's to keep the wheels down, I need to invest so as to protect my car since I got real lucky with the minimal damage from the last incident.  I was looking at the MM or steeda LCA's. Maybe some AA rated tires like Nittos or BFGs?

I should have some dyno numbers soon if the snow holds off, can't wait!

I had the steeda LCA's and never liked them. If you're going to buy any suspension pieces I highly suggest Maximum Motorsports, they make top end stuff. I am running the mickey thompson drag radials and I have NO traction issues at all.

yeah I was leaning that way for MM LCA's. I like their products, Kmember brace, subframe connectors and CC plates.

Just as an update, i'll be getting the head gasket fixed within the next couple weeks then I will post some more pictures of how I did some changes to the P/S cooler, the new rad, the battery relocation to the trunk and the snow performance stage2 water/meth injection kit!

The compressions is probably 9.5:1 to 10:1ish, I didn't mean for it to be that high but it ended up that way.  I'll be getting the thickest cometic head gaskets I can so hopefully I can drop the compression down to at least 9:1.  My boost was around 10lb's, until I get a stronger block I won't be pushing much more boost as i'm getting married this upcomming spring and I afford a dart/r-block. :(

And finally a graph of the dyno. This is before the head gasket swap.

    Update for 05/17/06

The car is still tore down, waiting for the cometic head gaskets to arrive. I estimate I should have the car up and running in 2-3 weeks. I've added a 2-step so I should be able to build some boost at the line. This year i'll be getting 11's!
