I want to see some pics with the filters on sticking through the hood. Looks okay with no filters.

It's running pretty good, have some PCV issues (pressurizing the crank case) Think I solved it thanks to Turbomustang.com.Turbo spool is amazing! I can be in 5th gear, 1700rpm at 60mph and floor it, goes right to 4psi boost even at such low RPM. Matches the TPI power curve. Damn Turbosmart wastegate springs are way off though, they claim 6psi...more like 11psi. I ordered the 3.63lb springs. Clutch gonna need to be updated LOL, damn TPI torque curve. To stop the engine from torquing towards the passenger side, turbo would hit the hood cut out, I had to install some poly motor mounts. I also have to find some edge molding for cut outs...any Ideas?

    Nice work there.

Try finding a local auto trim / interior / upholstery supply shop. They'll have a small edging just for those cutouts on the hood.

Also, I'd recommend installing a travel limiter / torque limiter on the driver side head to the frame. That'll fix your problem of it torqueing over and the turbo hitting the hood. You can do it as easy as bolting on a short piece of chain.

Let us know what it runs when you take it to the track!

Manny, Moe and Jack carry door edge molding that should work (at least they used to)... but wait, aren't they the enemy? :D

    Nice looking build. Very Clean.

Could you post how tll your turbos are, meaning the measurement from the top of the compressor housing or shaft, or turbine flange or wherever, some reference point to the head / valve cover flange or exhaust bolts or ??? I was going to build Grape Ape style headers but may need to change direction and go this route with the 53 chevy pickup.
Also, what brand of hugger headers are those?

I ran with the M.O.M.S. (Mustang On Mustang Shootout)guys on Friday nights there for 7 years. Had a 10 second street driven nitroused 88lx hatch and then a 10second street driven supercharged 89 notch. I moved to Florida in 2004 though. Still moderate on the MOMs site though. Cars below. Was from Olean by the way. The firebird looks GREAT!
