Its probably not a bad deal butt the only thing i would worry about would be making sure that whoever did the welding did a good job meaning that there is no porosity in the welds that are allready there because if there is ANY porosity it will melt them welds out fast also that they used the right rods when welding it up.

And the rocker stud protruding in the intake runner should be fine just use some liqiud pipe tape or permetex on them i have seen alot of heads like that i had a big block ford with trick flows and on the ex side the port was opened up so much the head bolts by the ex flange were exsposed.

    Chris,

Pressure check before buying there could be lots of issues.
As for the rocker in the intake, most Darts do that.
Clean-up grinding on the bottom of the stud and Seal'em.

if u call brodix there going to want u to send it in. i would call around and send the pics to some reputable head repair/porting shops and see what they say. they may be able to give u a quote. but most likely they are gunna really need to see the head. so its up to u.. some heads are un repairable.
i have the 11x's and really dont see em for sale too often used. and when i do they normally pull in the 1500-1800 range full cnc used bolt on . good luck

If all you want is high 8's you won't need any better than a standard 23 degree. Just get a set of Track 1's or a Dart Pro 1 and you won't need any special offet rockers or lifters. I've been more than happy with my track 1's. Around 80+ passes on them with no gasket issues and my car will go 8's on an easy passes.

    Chris,

Call me a I have a set PBM 200s and I can get the new 220s both in Alum.
I just sent a pair to Brian for his car they are racing on pinks.

Dart is changing everything from Pro 1 to Platinum right now.
So if Pro 1's are not on the self you can't get'em.

    Chris,
I am Scrapping my BT project. I just took my set of Dart Pro1 head (215cc) to the Machine shop. Getting boiled , blasted and checked. They are setup for a mild roller or flat tappet. I can get you the specs in a few days. 64cc chambers (piloshed), blows blended and I have a Victor JR. Portmatched to the heads. I hate I have to sell this stuff. Let me know if you are interested.

From the look or the pictures that isn't a difficult repair job - looks like all the welding is done.
Need to put 2 new interlocking seats in- probably 2 new guids and a valve job - surface and your ready to go.

Brodix makes the most durable heads on the market - I've repaired worse ones than that

    E-mail me at dennyschmidt19@comcast,net or call 770-460-6102
I keep some stuff in inventory

11-x is a great 23 D head makes plenty of power - what are you going to do with it?
