Were using a SCT BA2800, except were taking the electronics out of the plastic housing and installing in the 4" mild steel tubing intead. We couldn't stand the way it looked with that ugly plastic housing, so were making a "perch" for the BA2800 electronics and welding it directly to the turing before the t.b.
When it's finished I'll post pics. According to SCT it should work just as well as the BA2800 meter since the ID of the plastic housing is 4" also. Leave it to me to over complicate everything in favor of asthetics.

More progress. Finished up the hot side and now working on finishing up the cold side. Intercooler is finished up and mounted. Now we just need to make the tubing for the air filters to mount inside the inner fenders. Should be off to the coaters by the end of the week.

Yep that will work just fine.
I had a polished aluminum tube that was 95mm that I installed my SCT 2400 electronics pack into on my 2003 Lightning. And I am in the process of building a similar tube for my 1993 Lightning right now using 4" aluminum tubing and a SCT 2400 meter. I dont like the cheap plastic housings either.

    Oh, btw....VERY NICE buildup !! :2thumbs:

Here is a pic, you can just barely see it on the backside of the tube.

Thanks! Did you fabricate the MAF perch yourself, or did you buy it prefab somewhere? I've seen them somewhere before, but can't remember who sells them.

I'm also trying to figure out the best way to make the 4" round tube transition to oval for the throttle body without looking like crap.

Jeremy's work is amazing! He kills it over there...He never stops, he's an animal....

Those brakes look damn good! We still need to get you the bling for the rear....

I know, the wastegates look shitty. I'm going to annodize them both the same color black when I annodize the aeromotive fuel rails and some other misc hardware.

The one in the picture was a MAC cold air that I mated with a C&L elbow to create my own tube, so it already had the MAF flnge built in.

THe new tube I am building for the 93 Lightning I will be using 4" pipe with a MAF flange that I purchased from http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=catalog&parent=31&pg=1 :2thumbs:

Note that it is aluminum, but is comes with screws so that you can bolt it to steel tubing if needed.
