im no expert but i do have some experience with the rocker arm thing do not use big block rocker arms on a small block chevy unless you want to turn your good heads into junk heads the distance from the stud to the roller is longer on big block rockers it dosent matter if their ford chevy pontiac if you put bb rockers on that you will wear the guides/vavles out in about 25 miles the roller tip will ride on the outside of the vavle tip just dont want to see someone mess up their motor trying to save a buck believe me im all about building on a budget but dont mess your motor up doing it LS1 rockers i dont think will work they are bolt down they use a different mounting system

Yeah, well, it's kinda like trying throw to only one pie in a food fight..., I had to flip you chebby guys some crap being as most decent manufacturers used a shaft system at least once.....:).
I know, Fords are the VW of american cars, they crack cases and loose head gaskets just the same. oh well.

LS1's do use high ratio rockers, and they are adaptable to SBC's, but there isn't much aftermarket there'¦ If you wanted roller trunions and flat tips it's a good, reasonably cheap swap.

LT1's basically use the same valvetrain as any '87 and up SBC, same rockers also, no benefit there, stockers are 1.5 like the rest...

Last I checked the jy forum has always been a mix of all makes, and the chevy board was made as a reaction to all the GM stuff poking up'¦ as far as being a ford board, it also comes up under turbogm's'¦

Wow'¦ to be really honest, the more information you post the more stumped I am at what is going on'¦

The reason that I was thinking Solid (said solid roller but not knowing lift solid flat tappet is just as close), is that you seemed to have a very short power band for the amount of duration, where a solid lifter cam will act a bit smaller then the numbers suggest. I'm guessing the 3* advance over normal had a similar effect, but all this is surprising in an altered, which you'd expect to want something that would be a little tamer down low (of course, I suppose altereds are known for being insane, hairy rides'¦ I want one bad'¦).

Throw some stock 882's on the fire and you've got something that I can't explain, no way, no how'¦

That timing is weird enough, how did you come up with that?

Funny you say that.... Alot of the recondemations i see here do not add up too.....
I've tried heaps of different things and from the dyno, these are the ones that work. Not know why, but got a good idea tho. It's not all plain sailing tho, have had little problems , but have worked them out.
ALSO, this is a mech injection set up NOT efi.......
