How fast with stock ECU?

    Theres alot of "how fast on stock block threads"

    How fast has everyone gone without any type of chip/tuner? Just stock computer.

    10.23 at 136mph. Stock ecu, Pro M mass air and 50lb injectors. No chip.

    139 mph.... stock A9l with Mass air calibrated for 36's but using 42# injectors

    Wasn't Bruce Heminger(?) deep into the 8s' with stock ECU, distributor, sensors, etc., using nitrous?

    Exactly how dangerous is it to simply swap in a recallibrated MAF and higher lb injectors as opposed to being fully tuned?


    My car budget is tight, so I'm left exploring what I can get by with. I'm only looking to make 7psi on an otherwise stock '90 GT.

    I believe Barry D went 9's and 140+ in a street car with no chip or any aid. He said it just ran like that off the mass air meter without any sort of tuning aids at all.

    base fp is about ~45pounds. It drives beautifully, but I alway reset the computer (has a master disconnect at the back of the car) before I make a full boost run

    9.79 133mph on the wifes car. Ran out of gear on the stock ecc. Runs and drives great.

    306 S-trim, RPM heads, 42 LB injectors , Pro-M 77 Draw through, 50 Shot NOS
    That was about 11 years ago.

    5.97 in the 8th and currently 9.46 @ 143 in the qtr off of an A9P :)

    Update for 11/26/05... 9.32 @ 145, same combo, no changes.

    I ran 10.10 @ 135mph with pro-m80 with 38s & an S-trim and PSI motorsports tuned on the dyno from 300rwh to 550rwh "Thanks" Frank! back in 2002

    With stock shortblock, A9L, dis, 30lbs & Pro-M 80mm Dry 150shot and a tremec 3550 i ran 6.60 @102 in the 1/8 with a 1.36 60ft
