strange, i was certainly expecting a rude and harsh comment like on certain other boards.... none the less, 1 piece of advice is try to do as much of the work that you can, shop labour rates are a killer (unless you know someone and can get a good deal), regarding the turbo's; ask Tork on MR i remember he was selling 2 turbo's, not sure if he sold them yet or not but i remember him having 2 for sale... although this was a long time ago it couldn't hurt to ask. I missed the part about your fueling setup, what do you plan on doing for that.. afterall it's crucial.

no need for smack here, i'll smack you up on the other board ;)

As far as Tork, thats ok i'll pass. I'm not skimping on anything here, i want new parts because im going to have a lot of $ invested in this turb system & motor.......trying to eliminate some possibilities of failure.

Fuel system is going to be a Magnafuel Pro Star 500 pump w/ the Aeromotive reg

yes i am turbo'd, i would have thought that my sig on MR would have given that away (you know, black car and a turbo gradient image beside it) :p good luck on your project, i'd like to see it as time progresses, you have an eta for completion (next spring/summmer i'll assume)

Chris (TORK's) turbos were .96 A/r P trimmed 57 trim T3's too big for a stock LS1 but still too small for a 400CID built race block. they were awesome turbos though. wouldve easily made over 1000HP. hes running twin 60 trim T3's with .63 turbines now and making over 600HP. carm, i got the bible back as well as that tubbed S10 is now in ottawa finally if you wanna check it out with me this weekend, its in kemptville.

    want some decent headers?

I think this whole thing is hillarious! You guys are dead on! I fabricated and sold a set of headers to those moron's over at SS AutoChrome via ebay a couple of years ago. They obviously sent them over seas and had them copied, and I've know that for quite some time now. I sent a nice little email to the guy who purchased them, I think Zen, at SS Auto, and got no reply, suprised? Anyway, I think it's funny when I read posts on message boards that they don't fit or they are junk ect.... Here is my profile... I have been fabricating turbo headers for about 2-1/2 years now. I have a small shop in my garage, and I have only made headers for SBC's. I own a Mustang, but I am a Chevy guy at heart, that's where 01gt comes from. I am a certified welder and a machinist for a living. I have fabed and sold about 20 sets of headers over the years via ebay and direct through email and telephone. I have always turned down dealer inquirys because I only fab and sell headers when I have the time or need the money. If you guys want to let me know what you want, maybe we can do business. The weather is getting cold up here so I'm spending more time around my house/garage. I price my headers at $30/hr, plus materials, ebay fees ect. I would say on average, a set of headers is about 8 hours of fab and $150 in materials. I'm sorry that SS Auto Chrome is screwing you guys. Number one, those headers that are linked in this post will only fit a 82-92 F-body but SS Auto Chrome sells them as universal. They will not fit older Camaro's or Monte's, the primaries will hit the control arms right around the #1 and #2 exhaust ports. They were sold to SS as 82-92 F-body only, but you see what those idiots know, they don't care! I have never had one complaint about a set of headers I have sold and I would like to keep it that way. If anyone is interested, I have 2 sets of headers on ebay right now under mc-motorsports

the headers that SS Auto sells and copied are for Twin T3's, which have internal wastegates. The headers I have on Ebay are twin T-4's with 35mm external wastegate flanges. They will work with both 35 & 38mm gates.

Yep the exact same, one of my custmers sent me one and the tanks weremade out of the same .080 sheet aluminum all us quality intercooler makers use............ all wait I use 1/8 inch aluminum maybe that is why we blew his tank apart at 28p.s.i. when we pressure tested it, opps my bad....sorry. It was a POS
Not to mention their crappy turbulator to inch ratio, which looked to be about 5 a inch.
I suggest you get another intercooler from a quality vendor and bust it open and take a pair of dial indicators and go to work.

Then if your real froggy, why not run a test on that junk and see how effecent they are. And please don't give me that they work well on my cavilier crap.

Instead of using the s10 headers that will stick way out on the drivers side why dont you use fullsize truck headers that dont. They are exactly the same thing except for the 2 tubes that stick way out.

So the fullsize truck headers are just like the passenger side V8 S-10 headers?

I had thought about trying those, cause thats what it looked like to me

These would work great. The only reason I
used the s10's is because of $$. However you might be able to get those on e bay for around the same price, and if buying NEW those would also work better for the same price.
