Took it for the very first test drive. When I first hit the throttle I was a little disapointed as it didn't have much power but then the boost came on the truck absolutly exploded with power. It had so much power that it blew my 285R 60/16" tires away at 25KPH just rolling into into it gently. The turbo has too much boost right now as it pegged my 10psi gauge. I don't think it is much more than that but I will probably hurt something if I don't get it down some. I can always add more boost easily enouph. :D :drama:

boost is a great thing isnt it. i was totally amazed how a suck-a$$, 7.4 to 1, bonestock 400 responded to a little boost. my car has 29x12.5 m&h dot tires and it just annihlates them---even starting out in second gear (fourspeed)

congrats on the first of many drives, between my stock 400 and your stock 383 motor, we'll see whos pops first:D

Thanks guys I think I have most of the bugs worked out now. I have the boost set at a safe 7lbs. That is real good with my truck. Lets me get going without smoking the tires off. It really rocks when the boost comes on though. I love it.

I am surprized at how well this old turbo off of a big cummins powered truck works but I am pretty happy with it. Even better since I only paid a couple hundred for it.

Right now it burns the tires Pretty hard on the 1-2 shift at 40mph. With the 3.92 gears it doesn't make boost real soon in first so it feels like it pulls just as hard if not harder in second.

    Boost rules!!!!!
