I have heard of people having problems with the belt not contacting the waterpump enough when you run it over the tensioner like in the pics? And then it doesnt cool properly.

well i thought about this when i was getting up this mornen, and well i think it would have helped make since if i said i could not cut the nipple off of the tensioner and use the same belt lol. im going to blame the brain fart on lack of sleep and thinking to hard on ways to make this thing with with out spending money lol.

i just hate dealing with parts store people for the greatest part around here and that is the only reason why i was wanting to maybe keep with the same belt i have now. i guess i will do some measuring this weekend unless i get a working spurt and see about how long of a belt i need to try and get.

i was thinking maybe a cheap turnbuckle would be cheaper then getting a belt also ( yea i know its sad aint it ).

. . .and I'm using standard rotation pump from a t-bird, you just have to elongate the holes in the pulley a little bit. :)

Dont you have to use the grooved cobra pulley with a standard rotation? I have heard the grooved side of the belt doesnt like the smooth pulley surface?
