Can't say too much about the details yet, but we have a brand-new billet E85 block on the way. It was designed by Horsepower Innovations FROM SCRATCH with E85 in mind. We're expecting it to be available by the end of the year.

    Some key features --

Billet 6061 aluminum CNC machined. Uses stock Holley gaskets.

Externally adjustable for fine tuning the fuel curve. Tentatively we're looking at making it adjustable 6 - 8 jet sizes externally. That way it will be hard to get dangerously lean or ridiculously rich -- just enough adjustment to allow fine tuning for seasonal fuel blend or weather changes.

Emulsion holes in the right spot for E85 tunes. No need to drill and tap gasoline blocks.

ALL FUEL PASSAGES optimally sized for E85. The challenge with modifying stock blocks or using so called "E85 billet blocks" is that they were designed for gas and modified for E85. This leaves some of the passages difficult to get at to modify for use with E85.

Power valve cavity designed for better flow at high volumes and will allow the use of a power valve extension (like a jet extension). This will allow the use of a rear power valve when needed for blow through applications.

Plenty of "meat" in the billet block for modifications without breaking through. We can now make the exit channel and main well the size we want without worrying about getting too thin.

Current HPI carbs can be upgraded for use with the new blocks.

Hope to post some pics in the the near future.

    :2thumbs:

That's the main piece I am waiting for. I have a couple local CNC shops that I am working with on $$. Because of the lower volume I expect initially they will be a little more than your run-of-the-mill CNC blocks. Hopefully not too bad.

Been on the back burner for a few weeks, but I did finish the prototype (the final design). Hoping to get some testing in before the weather really goes south here in MI. 8)

Here's the latest update. Thanks for being patient!

Still waiting on the CNC shop guys. The good news is I have a shop that is able and willing to cut the blocks for me at a price that will be doable. I'm just waiting for setup and machine time for them to get rolling.

First run of metering blocks (a small batch) will be used on the dyno to work out tuneups. I'll start with our most popular carbs, 850, Dominator, HP950 both NA and b-thru, and HP 1000. I've got a test mule tentatively lined up for the blow through setup.

After the dyno session, I'll have a larger batch run and will start "beta testing" (early production testing) with a few customers willing (and able) to provide good detailed feedback.

    So that's the status!

PS. there is a sneak peak pic on the home page of my website at www.horsepowerinnovations.com I'll be posting updates there as well as here.

Sorry for the late reply guys!

Metering blocks are here :chacha: pic below

Sold almost all of my first batch already and have my CNC guy working on the next (bigger batch)

One nice surprise is that I found that the adjustable 3rd circuit (more like a second main circuit than a Dom intermediate circuit) can flow a BUNCH of fuel. Ought to be nice for blow through stuff because we can set the main jets and BRPV for say 15 psi, then allow another 10-15 jet sizes worth of fuel to be added through the adjustable circuit.
